Who would I be without the phone?

Sometimes I daydream about who would I be without the phone?
Would I be looking strangers’ eyes on the train, wondering if we are the same?
Would I be noticing the homeless person’s smile on the street? and whether he had anything to eat?

Sometimes I daydream about what my thoughts would be without the phone?Would I be present with what I have, the abundance, the privilege, the breath?
Would I be conversing with my inner child about her fears and reassuring her, the bombs are not close to here?

Sometimes I daydream about what bedtime would be without the phone?
Would I be finishing the book on my nightstand that is collecting dust?
Would I have enough energy to touch myself till I climax?

Sometimes I daydream what relationships would be like without the phone?
Would I fall in love with my friend’s hands, the intricate lines from doing, aging, and loving?
Would I hug him longer, think, send them long perfumed letters in the mail?

Sometimes I daydream about who would I be without the phone?
Would I be far ahead or way behind?
Would I be living in a city or under a tree?
Would I be the same me? with all my simplicity? Or another me, with all the complexity?

Sometimes I daydream
